As if Barbie did not already have the most annoyingly perfect life, she also gets dressed up by the world’s top fashion designers. With custom created outfits. AND accessories. Lucky
Each of these Barbie dolls are serious limited edition and go for thousands of dollars on auction sites. Which, thankfully, puts them beyond the reach of little girls who really don’t need any more self-esteem-destroying fantasies than we already feed them. That’s why I don’t like Barbie. But as a pure visual feast, these designer-dressed dolls are gorgeous. Now if they only came with a bit of honest-to-goodness arm chub and proportions that wouldn’t make a real woman topple over.

Kate Spade Barbie Doll
Reflecting Kate Spade’s personal style, Barbie wears a floral print coat with three-quarter length sleeves, belted at the waist. Beneath the coat is an ivory knit sweater and green shantung cigarette pants. A faux wicker handbag with golden detail is reminiscent of Kate’s handbag designs, specifically the “Venice Basket.” She also carries a “canvas” tote trimmed with faux green leather. The dog perched at the edge of the bag is modeled after Kate’s own pet. A bold beaded necklace and earrings set with faux turquoise accents, oversized sunglasses and green sandals complete the ensemble.
