Painting the walls with nail polish

My husband has declared that I have finally gone completely mad after he saw me trying to coordinate the paint on our dining room wall with my new nail polish. I think its he who just doesn’t get it – after all, who else understands colour better than makeup companies, who have spent some crazy amounts of time and money researching hues, textures and how different shades work in different kinds of light. Right?

And the make up I was trying to match was from Dolce & Gabbana’s new Bouquet collection, which you have to agree is simply the final, defining word on powdery, pastel-y gorgeousness. Just take a look at the shades and tell me, wouldn’t the lilac and aqua blue nail polishes make a lovely and refreshing backdrop for some Caprese salad, black truffle capellini, a bruschetta dressed with fresh olive oil and a bottle of chilled prosecco?

The collection is inspired by Italian summers of the 1950s

After all, it’s not like I am trying to paint the walls in the intense yellow or olive green of the eye pencil – that I am simply reserving for my dressing table. Husbands, I tell you – simply no imagination!

Do you think I am being a little mad?

When your kitchen serves Caprese salad, black truffle capellini, a bruschetta dressed with fresh olive oil, the lilac and aqua blue nail polishes may make a lovely and refreshing backdrop. Wonder how it will go with RDBS on the table.
Area for a lipstick is rather small compared to the high ceiling walls of your dining room and the colour can not have the same effect on a large area. Don’t know what you’re doing with the windows, with the backdrop of nature’s green. The light does play a major role in how the colour will appear during the day and at night.
Now it is possible to get a small quantity of colour as per the shade card to do a trial patch. It is always great to be a little mad, but keep in mind that once painted, you have to live with it for a long time before the next change.
Looking forward to some exotic food with the new ambiance and some chilled prosecco to go with it.
    Best Wishes!
