How to bust belly fat in 10 minutes. At home.

Want to wriggle into a curve-hugging dress but despair at your pudgy belly? Dr. Oz – the legendary cardiothoracic surgeon and author – has a super-simple solution. Take 2 1/2 cups of lemon juice and 15 peppermint leaves. Freeze the peppermint leaves and lemon juice together in an ice cube tray. Add 3 cubes to a glass of water and have at least 3 glasses of this icy water through the day. According to the doctor, “Indigestion is one of the most common causes of bloating. Peppermint improves the flow of bile to digest fats better. Lemon adds flavor so you won’t have to use sweeteners that can also cause bloating.” Could anything be simpler?

If you want a more permanent way to banish body fat, Dr. Oz recommends Kim Lyon’s Fat Flush Water recipe. For this, simply combine the following in a large pitcher: 1 grapefruit (sliced; can substitute with lemon), 1 tangerine (can substitute with oranges), 1 large cucumber (sliced), 10-20 mint leaves, water and ice cubes. Make a big pitcher of this Fat Flush Water every morning and drink at least one 8 ounce glass three times a day before each meal for 10 days straight.

bust belly fatHow does it work? Grapefruit and lemons are loaded with vitamin C to help your body turn fat into fuel; tangerine and oranges increase your sensitivity to insulin, stabilise blood sugar and stimulates genes to burn fat; cucumber helps you feel full and acts as a natural diuretic, which means less bloating and water retention; and peppermint is not only refreshing but also promotes better digestion and calms the stomach.

    For th more permanent solution do you slice up the grapefruit and tangerine whole, like with the skin attached?

      You can do it either way – I personally prefer removing the skin so I can simply eat the fruit when the water gets finished.

    I am in love with this site. Found this accidentally yesterday; but have read most of the posts already! :)
    And yeah, I wanted to know why sliced? Can’t I take lemon juice n mix it with orange juice? Would it make any difference?

      So glad you liked the site :) Sliced is better than juiced in this case because with the slices you are also getting the oils from the lemon and orange peels. With the juice, you are only getting the benefits of the pulp.
