Gucci Guilty Black Film by Frank Miller: Watch Now!

Gucci Guilty Black is not really my kind of fragrance – too oriental for my tastes – but even I can’t help feeling a tad excited by this fantastic short film from Frank Miller, starring Chris Evans and Rachel Evan Wood. It’s a sultry showcase of sex and sensuality, with a little bit of the Twilight feel thrown into the mix, all set against the Strangelove (Guilty Mix) soundtrack by Friendly Fires and Bat for Lashes. Watch it here and tell me if it’s provocative enough for your tastes?

The fragrance itself will appeal to a consumer who is “…younger and more daring” according to Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini. Consequently, the Gucci Guilty Black women’s fragrance is a creamy and warm oriental floral with red fruits and pink pepper in the top notes, lilac and violet in the heart and patchouli and amber at the base. The men’s version is a fougère that opens with coriander and lavender over a heart of orange flower, neroli and aromatic notes, with a base of patchouli and cedarwood.

Gucci Guilty Black for Women: $78 / 58 for 30ml, $95 / 71 for 50ml, $127 / 95 for 75 ml

Gucci Guilty Black for Men: $66 / 49 for 30ml, $83 / 62 for 50ml, $108 / 81 for 90 ml

Blake Lively goes golden for Gucci’s fragrance film

If you thought that Blake Lively could not possibly get any hotter, watch Gucci’s new film! Following close on the heels of an uber-glam print campaign, which unveiled the Gossip Girl as face of the brand’s new Premiere fragrance, this short film is directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (of Drive fame).

Blake shimmers, shines and sparkles as a sexy screen siren, flowing like molten gold from the window of a glittering penthouse to strutting her stuff in the desert while a remixed M83′s Midnight City plays in the background. Decked in a gold sequined backless gown (doubtlessly a Gucci original), she totally nails the Old Hollywood vibe that defines the fragrance!

The one word I would use to describe this commercial? Golden! From Blake’s metallic hair (clearly the next big beauty trend) to the sepia tones and her glistening gowns, Blake is a total Gucci girl! What do you think of this campaign? Does it tempt you to buy the perfume?

First Look: Blake Lively’s print ad for Gucci Premiere

Whew! That was fast. It’s been less than a week since news broke of Blake Lively becoming the new Gucci girl and the first print advertisements are already here. Shot by the iconic team of Mert & Marcus, the blonde bombshell is seen channeling a 1940s-meets-21st-century vibe that’s the perfect embodiment of “timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of Hollywood’s golden era”, which is the inspiration behind Premiere, the brand’s new perfume. I think she rocks but then I always think Blake looks super-gorgeous, so my opinion might be a bit biased. What are your views?
