Who else but a queen would have the most exquisitely patterned concealer? I mean… concealer… ! That’s hardly the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of pretty beauty products but Peter Philips, Creative Director of Makeup at Chanel, obviously dreams differently. He has taken all the grandeur, drama and playful femininity of the brand’s latest Cruise Collection 2013, which showed at Château de Versailles this year, and translated it into an uber-luxe mini makeup collection.
Other must-haves include a coral-pink lipstick (€29.50) and a transparent pastel pink-nude nail polish (€22) for a more subtle touch. And then, of course, there are those divine velvet interlocking-C beauty spots with which Philips styled the girls in the Cruise show for a right royal effect.
A pink eyeshadow (€27) and blusher (€37) complete the collection. Applied around the eyes and as a subtle cloud of powder on the cheeks, these pink tones are sure to lift the face, adding freshness and light.
