When I look at all the beauty products that I keep buying over and over again, de Mamiel’s hand blended face oils come out right on top. There is barely a day when I don’t have one of these on my skincare shelf. And the one that gets most love is the de Mamiel Autumn Face Oil.
This particular oil is a lifesaver for skin as the weather moves from hot summer days to the chilly winds of autumn. It’s perfect for replenishing summer-parched skin and countering the extremes of temperature suffered while going from the biting cold outdoors into super-heated rooms.
It’s lightweight, sinks in easily and makes for a great makeup base. I dislike heavy oils – they quickly start feeling greasy and congest my combination skin, which is why I prefer it to the ‘Winter’ version, which is a bit richer. I use it all through autumn AND winter!
It’s got two of my favorite ingredients – sandalwood oil (soothing, calming, healing and anti-inflammatory) and jasmine extract (anti-ageing and uplifting) – along with prickly pear seed oil (collagen boosting and antioxidant), squalene (hydration), amaranth (anti-inflammatory), patchouli (cellular-level detox and healing), geranium (soothing), rosehip (brightens), grapefruit, green mandarin and lemon (energising). Plus, it’s got the cleanest components.
And if you believe in things like vibes and energies (I do!), the blend also contains the additional power of handmade flower essences, which work through the body’s acupuncture meridians to instils confidence and uplift the spirit. Thereby healing our minds, as well as the bodies, during the transitory seasons.
Seasonal Facial Oils were the first products in the gorgeous, deeply luxurious de Mamiel brand, born out of Annee’s facial acupuncture treatments which involve using oils she hand blends according to each individuals’ constitution. Clients loved the blends so much, they began to request bottles to take home for themselves and for gifts.
And, before I forget, the Autumn Facial Oil smells GORGEOUS. I am a deep believer in the power of aromatherapy, and this oil settles me at night so beautifully, however shitty a day it’s been. I would go so far as to say that it’s like a cocoon for the body and soul (yes, it drives me to poetic cliché and the writer in me just has to live with that!).
Have you tried any de Mamiel products? Would love to hear your experience.
