First it was Chanel that draped the Louvre with 1,800 hand-assembled sequins and now its the turn of Dior to splash its glitzy aura across another Paris landmark. The French luxury house has chosen the Palais de Justice (which is better known as Marie Antoinette’s prison and is also, ironically, the place where John Galliano is to be judged) to showcase a mammoth advertisement for J’Adore, splashed across the construction silk covering the monumental exterior as it undergoes renovation. It is rumoured that Dior shelled out almost 200,000 Euros for the advertisement that will run at least until December of this year. This will almost single handedly cover the total cost of restoring this part of the building’s façade. This is what we call a sweet deal!
