Nowadays, love at first sight comes rarely for me – especially with a skincare product. But I am OBSESSED with Fresh’s Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Serum (now, that’s a looooooooong name for a small bottle!).
It starts with the application, which is like pouring a shot of freshly pressed orange juice into your hand and pressing it into your skin. It feels and smells delicious, and is the perfect wake-me-up in the morning. Seriously, it’s EXACTLY like orange juice, complete with the pulpiness that only fresh juice can have. The secret behind this lies in innovative extraction techniques, which have been inspired by cold pressed juices.
Then there are the microbubbles – 480,000 in one 15ml bottle. Each one packed with coconut oil (nourishing), vitamins C and E (antioxidant and nourishing), and beta-carotene (ward off damaging free radicals). Packing these nutrients into microbubbles, which release the active ingredients upon application, helps keep them fresh and potent.
The microbubbles are further suspended in a watery base of fruit extracts and minerals, including lemon and orange extracts (to revitalise dull skin), jicama root juice (hydrate and revitalize), chicory root juice (moisturise and protect) and ginger water (hydrate). Taken together, this sounds like a really gross smoothie but makes for the perfect shot of nutrition for tired skin.
In the short term, it wakes up my skin after a rough night and gives it an instant glow. It also absorbs quickly and even though it’s a serum, I don’t need a moisturiser on top. However, if you have dry skin, you may want to add a layer on top.
With consistent use, my skin has started looking smooth, glow-y, energised, healthy… like it’s been a regular at the gym, followed by shots at the juice bar. Rather than being stuck in front of a computer screen, with endless shots of espresso.
Now, if someone could just do something like this for the rest of my body?
