The BBC has created a nifty online calculator that uses simple data (sex, height, weight, age, location) to measure just how skinny or obese you are compared to the global average.
And while you are there, the calculator will also figure out your standing in a particular country.
Other cool features: A plotted graph of world averages, how much weight would be added or subtracted from earth’s surface if everyone in the world weighed the same as you, and which nationality (in your age and sex range) you most resemble.
Take the test HERE and tell us how you stacked up – if you dare! Here’s mine. It seems I have a lower BMI than 83% of females in my country (USA) and seems to think I am from Indonesia, in terms of weight averages. Guess I know where to head for my next vacation, even though I have no Indonesian ancestry!
Well, I m a 22year old girl from greece and the test considers me as a girl from sudan!
79% lower than my peers in greece
54% lower than females around the world!
Go figure! I don’t even consider me as a thin one.. anyways!
Lucky you… this means you can gorge yourself on any and everything! Am insanely jealous 😉
Well, I am most like Barbados :-/
I’m 15 and 5’7″ from the United States. The test said I’m most likely from Somalia.
lower than 90% of people in my age group from the US
lower than 66% of people in the world (my age group)
It’s hard to believe that I’m in the bottom 10 percent when everyone around me seems to be thinner than I am.
