Could there be a more cheerful way to start the weekend than by opening a box of what has to be one of the most fun perfumes in recent times – Marc Jacobs Dot? Not surprising really from a designer who is the unquestioned doyen of polka dots: Recent collections from his eponymous line are peppered with the happy circles and as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton, Jacobs will soon be releasing a summer collection in collaboration with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, whose famous installations includes Dots Obsession.
Coming back to this fun and quirky perfume, whose bottle takes inspiration from the lady bug (definitely the most iconic wearer of polka dots!), it’s a definite must-have for lovers of tropical fragrances with a hefty dose of coconut water, orange blossom, jasmine, honey suckle, red berries and passion fruit backed up by notes of vanilla, driftwood, and musk. Instant beach-effect guaranteed!
