The 5-minute, 2-ingredient detox that you can (easily!) do at home

Long weekday nights with crazy work deadlines. Longer weekend nights with crazier socialising. No sleep. Tons of junk food. And makeup that’s more often slept in than not.

In the middle of all this craziness, who has the time for long detox rituals and complicated concoctions?

Instead, try this super-simple recipe that’s perfect for cleansing body and skin within minutes.

Take one slice each of watermelon and honeydew melon, put them in a blender and power it up on high for 2 minutes. Drink up!

detox juice

Honeydew melons are excellent at reducing water weight (thereby banishing bloat) and help to cleanse the kidneys. They are also loaded with Vitamin C, which boosts the immune system, destroys free radicals and makes skin glow.

Watermelons contain fibre, lycopene, vitamin A and vitamin C, to cleanse the kidney, bladder, heart, stomach, colon and liver for full body rejuvenation.

Enjoy!

Do you feel the need to detox once in a while? What’s your secret detox potion?

Sounds like a neat little trick. Too bad I don’t like honeydew melon, but if I take it as medicine it doesn’t have to taste good, right? I have been putting up detoxing till after New Years, when I will withdraw from the world to study for exams and won’t be pressured to eat and have drinks all the time. But this might help in the meantime.

If you really can’t stand honeydew, even watermelon on its own works well!
